The Nottingham International Jazz Piano Competition started in 2008 when brothers Mick and Andy Wilson of Clement Pianos Nottingham, decided to give the world's young jazz pianists a platform to display their talents to the world. Major sponsors of the competition have included Clement Pianos, Bluthner Pianos of Leipzig and Kawai Pianos Japan.
